Hey there! Nice to meet you!
I'm Katie, a wife and a mother to four kiddos. When I'm not working on photography, I'm with my kids as a stay at home mom. We like to take family walks, tend our veggie garden, do things with our church, host family and friends, and try desperately to get my house organized (it's a losing battle at this stage with such little kids). I just recently began making our own bread using ancient grains, trying to make fermented foods, and am eager to keep finding new ways to bring simple goodness into our home. In my pre-baby life I was a singer and an amateur swing dancer.
The more life I live, the more I crave authenticity. Photography is about finding the beauty and joy that is already there and celebrating the sacredness of all the small moments that make life meaningful.
With every session I do, I pray I am able to capture the authentic beauty of family and the sacredness of everyday life. In a world that shares so much online yet still manages to lack honesty and vulnerability, I’ve become passionate about wanting to capture the beauty in all the small, real moments. A family photo where little kids are showcasing their personality is more meaningful to me than an image that has been highly edited with swaps and removals. It can be difficult sometimes to see the blessings in our own lives, but I see it in yours! And I do my best to show you that in your final gallery of images!
