Frequently asked questions.
How are my images delivered?
All sessions are delivered via an online gallery. You will be able to download your images from the gallery as high-resolution and social media sized files. You have the printing rights to print your images at any printer of your choice. You have the option to purchase prints through your online gallery to be printed at a professional lab.
Do you only photograph Catholic weddings?
The Catholic mass is my comfort zone. Shooting a wedding day, it is important to be ready for any unexpected changes or needs. Knowing the Catholic mass as well as I do positions me well to capture the day well. I am certainly open to chatting about doing a non-Catholic wedding, however, I will only accept the honor if I feel I can help achieve the vision for the day.
Can you “photoshop” that?
I truly believe in capturing the natural moments and beauty at each session. I do NOT do any extensive editing to my images. I adjust things like brightness, exposure, crop, and shadows to create my style of being true to life. I do not do more extensive things like face swapping, skin smoothing, clothing adjustments, etc. If an extensive edit is ultimately requested, I can coordinate the work to be done via a third party expert but the cost will be paid by you, prior to the work being done.
In general my approach is that I do not alter or fabricate life. It’s important for each of us to find beauty in life as it is.
What is your view on AI (Artificial Intelligence) in regards to photography?
AI is beginning to influence many facets of life. It is my goal to continue to be true to lived reality. I believe in authenticity and the vulnerability that comes with it. I use very limited AI technology and only when I feel it’s necessary. I have used a software to help remove grain or “noise” from a photo as well as to sharpen up the subject. I have occasionally used AI technology to remove distracting elements in the background. My use is extremely minimal.
